Madras check was a wardrobe staple for 1950s Ivy Leaguers, later becoming synonymous with affluence, recreation, and the wardrobes of preppy ad execs. Like most things pro-establishment, it was commandeered by the punks – usually in the form of loud blazers and stage shirts. With a dose of nylon for extra stretch, our Madras sock brings a modernist twist.
