John grew up listening to UK underground sound, from the likes of of 90's trip hop, shoegaze, and IDM. Turismo Avenue is John's audio & visuals project, inspired by useless wooden tools to old cassettes, old magazines and other subcultures's & diy spirit around him. His work is not a stylistic one, but rather something in direct conflict with the urge for a more open reception from wider audience. This condition makes him work with a unique approach to dance music – or all music – and to the Jakarta’s scene itself.
